If you are suffering from muscular aches and pains, massage therapy can help to reduce that muscular tension.
If you are experiencing stress, anxiety, headaches and insomnia, massage therapy can help with relieving your condition.
Massage therapy is a complementary bodywork therapy that can provide relief from chronic conditions such as arthritis, sciatica, osteoporosis, endometriosis, fibromyalgia, shoulder pain, hip pain, foot pain, as well as aid in the recovery process post-surgery or recovery from an illnes or injury.
Remedial massage uses a variety of therapeutic techniques to target a particular area of the body. Deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, soft tissue release and mobilisation are incorporated into your treatment when appropriate, giving you the best outcomes for your presenting condition.
Gentle scar therapy can bring relief to the symptoms of pathological scars. Reduce pain near or distant to the scar, improve range of motion and function, reduce altered skin sensations like numbness, itchiness, pins and needles, reduce skin sensitivity, improve acceptance of touch, improve body image and integrate the scar within the body.
Using the side-lying technique, you will be supported by plenty of pillows, allowing you to fully relax and connect with your growing baby. The semi-reclined position is also offered and is recommended if you are experiencing nausea. Pregnancy massage is offered throughout your 2nd and 3rd trimesters and postpartum. Please state how many weeks pregnant you are when booking.
The benefits of massage during pregnancy include: a reduction in stress and anxiety; easing aches and pains; assisting in relieving headaches and improved circulation; improvements in your posture; enhanced placental function; an increase in energy, and creating a sense of well-being and nurturing.
